  Bottega Veneta Fabulous Bags

  All girls love bags, right? “Have handbags replaced diamonds as a girl’s best friend?” I heard that line somewhere and I cannot remember where! It stuck in my head as I realized that I do shop for bags more than I shop for jewelry. You have probably noticed due to the number of bag related posts I publish on the website!

  I have been browsing the Saks Fifth Avenue website looking at the latest bags available for pre-order, from Chloe to Marc Jacobs. Some are absolutely divine, a few were hideous and already I have decided to save up for many of them. I think I may exceed my two luxury bags per season rule this time!

  The ones that caught my eye were Bottega Veneta handbags. I always love visiting the Bottega Veneta boutique at Villa Moda and own a few of the bags because I love their supple leather and colors. Actually, I often “borrow” my mother’s handbags.

  What do you think of Bottega Veneta bags? Are you over them after the craze when everyone and their mother had a Chinese bag that imitiated the woven style of the brand? I still harbor a deep love for them and the one Bottega Veneta bag I must own is the messenger bag. I’m in love!

  My top three are the Woven Messenger Bag, large Interecciato Tote and the woven trapezoidal hobo! The woven trapezoidal hobo can be found at Villa Moda in other colors. Which ones are your favorites?

  Cereal Hold

  I have noticed many times on tv that people who are eating cereal with a spoon hold the spoon in an awkward position. So I started to wonder, maybe I am doing it wrong, or maybe it is just that specific person on tv?

  The Hold I am talking about is one where you have the bowl on table or in one hand, the spoon clutched from the handle inside the hand and you are stuffing cereal inside your mouth. I usually hold my spoon closer to the edge for all my meals.

  See the attached pictures (the best I could find online) and tell me if what I am doing it wrong, or if there is a proper way of eating cereal.

  Bandolera, a brand from the Netherlands, may be familiar to shoppers at Al-Bahar Mall. The fashions of Bandolera will soon be paraded down The Avenues. I’m not sure of what I think of Bandolera. It reminds me too much of the stores I don’t frequent;Riva, Motivi, and other similar stores share the same style.

  Here are my top five looks from their Spring/Summer catalog. I love the crescent shaped bag and glasses in the first image. It really completes the look for me. Crescent shaped bags will always be in style to me. I can never tire of them! I love the white dress in the second image. The pleats add a nice detail to the dress. It would make a great addition to my summer wardrobe. I like individual pieces in the last three looks. A skirt here, a cardigan there, and always shoes! shoes! shoes!

  Don’t we all have friends who are oblivious? You know what I am talking about, someone who has no idea about what goes around, and always assumes that things are ok, even though they are not, because he or she is unaware that their actions or behaviors should not be normal among friends.

  I have such a friend, and I can classify him as a classical case of Oblivious Maximus. He gets in strange mood from time to time with many of us, and acts strangely. He basically shuts down and disconnects the world from himself, but then all of a sudden he is back, and expects things to be the same, while they are naturally not.

  Little can be done to this person, many people tried, but he just does not get it, he takes everything lightly and thinks life is a big joke. He lives in his own small coconut.

  They teach you not to write things when you are annoyed, but I will disregard that for this post, because I am super-pissed and I am considering not being around him and stick only with friends who answer their phones, reply to their messages, check on their friends when there is no contact.

  So oblivious friend, or ex-friend, go play with toys, you are not worth the attention.
